With the end of the year upon us and the holiday spirit kicking in, it’s time to start planning those holidays. When it comes to holidays, one of the first images that might come to mind is that of a beach, with glistening oceans meeting the horizon while the sound of wind and birds revolves around you. Thankfully, our world offers plenty of beautiful beaches to spend holidays on! From the crystal-clear waters of the Seychelles to the pristine sands of Australia’s shores, let’s explore some of the most beautiful and captivating beaches around the world.

Jervis Bay, Australia

Located on Australia’s southern coast, less than a three-hour drive from Sydney, this is an easily accessible paradise for tourists and beach lovers in general. Known for its famous white-sand beaches and clear turquoise waters, Jervis Bay offers some of the safest and most beautiful coastal landscapes in the world. Tourists can explore popular attractions like Hymans Beach, Cave Beach, and Murrays Beach (three birds with one stone!). The area also has a great shipbuilding history, specifically in the delightful town of Huskisson, where visitors can embark on dolphin and whale-watching cruises. However, Jervis Bay has an even more special reason to visit. Here, at night, tourists can feast their eyes on the incredible bioluminescence, a stunning natural light that turns the coastal waters here into something out of a fantasy story. This soul-therapizing, natural phenomenon makes visiting Jervis Bay worth it on its own. Additionally, this area offers some great diving spots with clear waters!

Hidden Beach Philippines

Hidden Beach, Philippines

Hidden Beach in the Philippines truly lives up to its name. Tucked away from the usual tourist attractions in El Nido, this beach offers a serene environment that’s perfect for anyone seeking solitude. The beach is surrounded by limestone cliffs and lush vegetation, adding to its secluded charm. It’s an ideal spot for diving and exploring diverse marine life, proving to be quite the treat for anyone who enjoys anything of that nature. Imagine this: taking a stroll through nature and seeing a small opening in the nearby limestone walls not too far off the trail you’re on, only to enter and be greeted by a stunning beach and hidden paradise all in one. A discovery like this is surely enough reason for a trip here to be worth it!

The many beaches of Cape Town, South Africa

Cape Town is home to some of the most beautiful coasts in the world. From the penguin-inhabited Boulder’s Beach to the surfer’s paradise of Muizenberg, there’s something here for everyone and plenty to enjoy! What makes Cape Town’s beaches so special is the diversity of them all. Muizenberg treats its visitors to a long, white shore and colourful beach huts. It’s also a bohemian sanctuary with more than its fair share of independent art galleries and boutiques. Boulder’s Beach, on the other hand, is part of Table Mountain National Park and has many penguins as an attraction while also offering some of the best and safest swimming spots. No matter which beach you find yourself on in Cape Town, be sure to treat yourself to a visit to one of the nearby coastal restaurants after a day well spent at the beach!

While every location mentioned here is incredible, there are plenty of more stunning landscapes the world has to offer, each with its own activity for every type of traveller. Whether you’re a thrill-seeker looking for your next adventure or someone seeking relaxation amidst nature, there’s plenty out there for you to explore for yourself!
